Announcement from ASN, ERA, and ISN on the Collective Effort to Provide Relief to People with Kidney Diseases and Their Caregivers During Natural Disasters and Human Conflicts Throughout the World

In formal collaborations since January 2015, the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the European Renal Association (ERA), and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) held a joint leadership meeting on 4-5 December 2023 to proudly affirm their sustained partnership and renew their collective commitment to addressing the challenges faced by people with kidney diseases and their caregivers worldwide.
 
As nonpolitical, not-for-profit, nongovernmental organizations, ASN, ERA, and ISN are committed to helping people with kidney diseases and their caregivers (including nephrologists) throughout the world. To accomplish this goal, the three societies have decided going forward that they will focus on actions, not statements, when it comes to collective responses to natural disasters and human conflicts throughout the world.
 
This new approach and renewed commitment to collaboration signify the collective strength and responsibility of ASN, ERA, and ISN in serving the global nephrology community, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with kidney diseases and their caregivers during times of crisis, both now and in the future.
