The call for nominations for the ERA Awards 2026 is now open!

• Award for Outstanding Clinical Contributions to nephrology, dialysis, or transplantation
• Award for Outstanding Basic Science Contributions to nephrology, dialysis, or transplantation
• Award for Research Excellence in Nephrology (Clinical and/or Basic Science)
• Award for Outstanding contribution to the ERA
• Award for Excellence in the field of sustainable nephrology

We invite you to propose names of exceptional colleagues who could be nominated. Nominees must be ERA Members.

The ERA Council will make the final decision based on the SAB’s evaluation and Sustainable Nephrology Task Force’s feedback, which includes a comprehensive assessment of the candidate’s scientific contributions, professional achievements, innovation, leadership, and impact on the nephrology field.
How to submit a nomination
Nominations must be supported by a recommendation letter, which should outline:

• The nominee’s main scientific and professional achievements;
• Their contributions to advancing nephrology, dialysis, and/or transplantation;
• Any additional elements that highlight their excellence and impact.

Eligibility reminder
Before submitting your proposal(s), please ensure that the colleague(s) you intend to nominate is an ERA Member. You may verify membership in the Members Directory via the “Membership Benefits” section of My ERA, or by contacting the ERA Headquarters.
Please note that for the Research Excellence Award, candidates must be between 41 and 60 years of age in the year the Award is presented (2026).
Nominations can be submitted using this electronic form no later than December 19, 2025.
